Product Standards For Electric Bicycles

Mar 07, 2024

The four main national standards for electric bicycles are: they must have a foot pedal to enable manual riding; The maximum design speed shall not exceed 25km/h; The total weight of the vehicle shall not exceed 55kg; The output power of the motor shall not exceed 400w;
National standard "General Technical Conditions for Electric Bicycles" (GB17761-2018)
An electric bicycle is a special type of bicycle that uses a battery as an auxiliary energy source and has two wheels. It can achieve functions such as manual riding, electric or electric assistance.
Technical requirements:
1. Maximum speed: should not exceed 25km/h; According to Article 58 of the Traffic Law, the maximum speed of electric vehicles shall not exceed 15 kilometers per hour
2. Vehicle mass: not exceeding 55kg (including battery);
3. Foot riding ability: It must have good foot riding function, and the distance of 30 minutes of foot riding should not be less than 7km;
4. Continuing mileage: The continuing mileage after one charge should not be less than 25km;
5. Maximum cycling noise: The noise during electric constant speed cycling at the highest speed (electric assisted cycling at a speed of 15km/h to 18km/h) should not exceed 62dB (A); The energy consumption of 100km should not exceed 1.2kW · h;
6. Electricity consumption per 100 kilometers: For electric cycling (electric assisted cycling), the electricity consumption per 100 kilometers should not exceed 1.2KWH
7. Motor power: The rated continuous output power should not exceed 400W;
8. Braking performance: When riding with electric assistance at the highest speed (for electric assisted riding at a speed of 20km/h), the dry braking distance should not exceed 4m, and the wet braking distance should not exceed 15m.
